I have dry cuticles, thin nails and I dont bite but i pick at my skin. Any suggestions?

I use to wear acrilic nails a year ago. Now I have tried to grow my nails and they look horrible. I put my hand and nails in vasaline almost every nite. They are dry and crack and its worse cause I will pill the skin back. I just want to find a product that works. I've tried cuticle oil lotions manicures u name it i've tried it.
