Nails...Cuticle...!!! HELP!?

my cuticles are pretty dark and i tried hard to fix it but nothing worked, any tips? and my nails suck! i have a bitting habit that im trying to get out of ..... i need help to find a way to stop bitting and to help my nails become strong and grow quicker....plz don't advise me to get some sort of medicine or cream....i need a method in which i won't have to waste money! any home products!!!Nails...Cuticle...!!! HELP!?
