I think the real damage comes from using nail polish remover, using it only a couple of times a week is ok, using it too much can dry out your nails and the skin around them. A simple way of taking care of your nails:
)Use a nail buffer to smoothen your nails and make them shiny. From experience this also seesm to make nails grow faster.
)Dip your hands in warm water for 5 minutes. Then dry them out and gently push back the cuticles with a wooden cuticle stick. Clip them carefully.
)Apply moisturiser and massage onto your nails and cuticles. Rub thoroughly to let it absorb in.
)Apply a clear nail hardener to your nails. There's one I use called Nail Xtras 3 in 1. It looks just like clear nail polish.
)If you have long nails try tapping them. I heard that this is supposed to improve circulation and help them grow. In anycase it won't do any harm.Is fingernail polish bad for your nails? what is the healthiest treatment for nails and cuticles?
