Has anyone else out there lost weight when they stopped biting their cuticles or nails?

It's the weirdest thing, I lost five pounds after I stopped biting (eating, I guess) my finger nails and cuticles. Do you think there's a connection???? Did this happen to you? I wonder if they are connected somehow, that stopping my nervous habit somehow encouraged weight loss. Anyone know anything about this or have experienced it?Has anyone else out there lost weight when they stopped biting their cuticles or nails?
You probably are less nervous, which causes you to stop biting your nails and also means:

You may be snacking and otherwise eating less

You may have lower cortisol (a stress hormone) levels

both of which would tend to cause weight loss.

You also might be (even slightly) more physically active, making you lose weight and also be less nervous and just don't realize this.

Biting one's nails doesn't directly cause intake of any significant calories.
