Use a Q-Tip dipped in nail polish remover. To get in the hard to reach spots use a toothpick soaked in remover. How do you get nail polish off of your cuticles and still want the nail polish on your nails?
What I find works is simply showering a few times. The nail polish on your fingers just comes out and all that's left is the polish on your fingernails.
But I suppose what you could do if you feel that that is too time-consuming is washing and scrubbing your hands for a while.
Try a corrector pen. It kinda looks lilke a pint pen but it had finger nail polish remover in it. You can find it Wal-Mart, CVS, and Wal-greens.

soak your hands, or take a shower and after just scratch off the unwanted nil polish or get a q-tip and dip it into nail polish and swipe away the ares of polish you want gone =)
Tale a cottin swab, dip it in nail polish remover then take off the nail polish where you want it gone.

cotton swab or 1 of the special polish remover pen things
when you take a shower and wash your hair, it'll come off :-)
